Far from, actually. Although there's nothing better than sitting in the nude in a smoke sauna with a cider and some deep conversation, the next best thing to nude is in the Urban Decay 'Naked' eyeshadow palette.
I go through eyeshadow phases, as I'm sure everybody does. Actually I go through makeup phases. First it's the total neutral smokey eye with defined black liquid liner cat eye, and suddenly it's a light brown, maybe taupe shadow with smudged brown liner and a few layers of mascara for definition. Through all those dramatic makeup phases, the one thing that has been consistent are the eyeshadow palettes I use.
I first fell in love with Urban Decay's original Naked palette in, let's say... 2011 (roughly), and since then, makeup has never been the same! I find the quality and pigmentation of the shadows phenomenal, and they last throughout the day with hardly any creasing (but that also depends on the primer).
When I started all my packing for Europe, I wanted to keep my cosmetic bag as light as possible. I minimized what I would take by cutting back on my daily makeup routine. I decided to splurge on the travel friendly size "Naked Basics" palette. This palette is adorably small (like myself) and really all you need when travelling. It was easy to throw in my purse with a small brush and be on my way through numerous airports. The Naked Basics palette, as well as the equally as small Naked Basics 2, contain some of the brands most popular shades, as well as some exclusive shades specific to the basics palette. It also includes the shades you need to highlight, contour, and define your eyes, as well as a good balance of light and dark shades.

The original Naked palette is almost all shades with shimmer, however, it gives you quite a diverse range of colours to choose from. This was a great palette option when going through those shimmery makeup phases...
The smaller Basic palettes are matte shades, which I have gravitated towards for neutral day looks. We all have our "go to" colours and mine are Naked 2, Faint, & Crave from the Naked Basics palette, and Frisk, Primal, & Undone from the Naked Basics 2 palette. When I opt for a bit of shimmer, I use Sin, Sidecar, Smog, Dark Horse, & Toasted from the original Naked palette.
